This is a Dreamtime story of Aboriginal women searching for bush banana fruit in the wild.. Bush bananas (yuparli) are roasted under hot coals and eaten when cooked. Taste is described as like stringy zucchini with echoes of pumpkin and beans.

The Napperby artist, Nancy Napanangka Campbell, was born ca. 1961. Her tribe and language is Anmatyere and she started painting ca. 1986.

Her works are exhibited in galleries across Australia. Her Woman’s Ceremony paintings are celebrated both nationally in Australia and in overseas venues.
